SOUTH COTABATO- Yesterday, January 25, 2010, a hand grenade exploded at the Koronadal Branch of Landbank at around 2 pm. Two were reported to be afflicted with multiple blast injury.

The Disaster Response Team of the Philippine Red Cross South Cotabato Chapter remained on stand by in case further assistance is needed.

The casualties were transported to South Cotabato Provincial Hospital.

The impact of the explosion caused physical trauma on 32-year-old Jan Raoul Lebanan’s lumbar area, buttock and lower leg.

Meanwhile, thirty-five-year-old Glenn Sinoy suffered in the upper arm, thigh and lower leg area. He was transferred to Doctors Clinic and Hospital, also located around Koranadal City area.

Philippine Red Cross South Cotabato Chapter dispensed two ampules of Anti-tetanus Vaccines (Tetayax) and 1 unit of Blood at the Doctors Clinic and Hospital, and to Sout Cotabato Provincial Hospital.
