The Batangas Chapter was organized on August 5, 1945, as one of the original provincial chapters of the Philippine National Red Cross. Its area of jurisdiction then included Mindoro province.
Its first office was located at the Batangas Mayor’s Office. Later it was transferred to the American Red Cross office at the Batangas municipal market. It acquired its present site in 1955.
The chapters first board of directors was chairman named by Gov. Modesto Castillo, with the following as members: Saturnino S. David, Atty. Francisco G, Perez, Gregorio Lardizabal, Juan Paraiso, and Dr. Clemente K. Silva.
