On the 18th day of March 1981, the Benguet Chapter was established in an answer to the clamor of the leaders of the province, Gov. Ben Palispis and Vice Gov. Samuel Dangwa. The chapter is governed by the Board of Directors of 30 members; 15 of which are elected civic minded individuals and the other IS are appointed heads from the Local Government Units.
For a start it was given an office space at the Provincial Capitol Building. Years later, a new chapter building funded by the Danish Red Cross thru the Integrated Community Development Planning Programme (a special project) was built at the Benguet General Hospital compound.
