The Guimaras Chapter of the Philippine National Red Cross was established on August 5, 2005 through Gov. Emily R. Lopez who was a member of the Board of governors at PNRC National Headquarters before her appointment as governor in the Province of Guimaras.  The operation started only last October 2, 1996 and temporarily holding its office at the DPWH Conpound, San Miguel, Jordan through the kindness of Engr. Modesto Lutoy – District Engineer and asst. engineer Jose Habona of the same office.
