Aside from feeding hot meals to those affected, the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) – National Headquarters and chapters are continuously monitoring and assessing the situation 24/7. Hundreds of personnel, staff, volunteers, RC 143 volunteers have been mobilized to help secure the areas and provide assistance.
In times of calamities, the PRC is in need of in-kind and cash donations. Although we appreciate monetary donations in order to immediately address the needs in the evacuation centers and in affected areas.
Super typhoon Rolly brought severe flash flooding to Legazpi, Albay, as well as lahars from the nearby Mayon Volcano. There were widespread power outages as well as damaged power and transmission lines in the Bicol Region. Crops were heavily damaged. Over 390,000 individuals have been displaced in the region out of 1 million evacuated. At least 20 people died due to the typhoon.

The PRC Fund Generation Department is now accepting donations in cash and in-kind to provide safety and protection of internally displaced persons.
HELP IS ON ITS WAY. The Red Cross Humanitarian Caravan is on its way to Catanduanes and Albay to give aid to those directly hit by the super typhoon Rolly.
