A total of 949,697 persons or 231,104 families were affected in Northern Mindanao, SOCCSKSARGEN, CARAGA and Davao Region by the effects of the shearline and the trough of a low pressure area (LPA).

Of the affected population, 26,777 persons or 6,962 families are staying inside 118 evacuation centers. State of calamity was declared in the whole province of Agusan del Sur, Panabo City and Tagum City in Davao del Norte and Mati City and Tarragona in Davao Oriental.

As the Philippine Red Cross mobilized its volunteers, who have helped through rescue operations, medical assistance, hot meals, and other interventions, we are appealing for your donations to effectively support the most vulnerable.

Through its 107 blood service facilities nationwide, the PRC has been one of the leading providers of blood and blood products in the country. The PRC continually promotes blood donation to attain adequacy.

    To meet the increasing demand for blood and augment the national blood requirement, the PRC conducts education, advocacy, and recruitment sessions to encourage regular blood donations from communities, workplaces, government/non-government agencies, civic organizations, churches, colleges, and universities nationwide.
