PRC FOOD TRUCKS CONTINUE TO PROVIDE FOOD FOR THE MOST VULNERABLE
“Patuloy na magiikot ang ating mga food trucks sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng bansa upang makapagbigay ng hot meals sa mga most vulnerable groups. Bawas isang pagkain na iisipin ngayong araw,” Philippine Red Cros (PRC) Chairman and CEO Sen. Dick Gordon said.
PRC’s Hot Meals on Wheel will go to Brgy. Baritan, Malabon targeting 250 individuals and in Brgy. Kitong Bangus San Roque Talisay, Cebu targeting 300 individuals today. The food truck in Cebu recently provided ready-to eat meals to 464 individual composed of senior citizens, children aged 5-10 years old, and medical front liners.
The Hot Meals on Wheels came from the Vision of Chairman Dick Gordon to provide Hot Meals to the most vulnerable groups in times of disaster. Together with PRC’s nutrionist, volunteer chefs and professional cooks, PRC makes sure that all food that will be served are healthy, delicious and safe for everyone.
To date, PRC has an existing 23 food trucks that will hasten relief efforts during emergencies. The Hot Meals on wheels will continue to serve ready-to-eat-meals to individuals affected by COVID-19.
