PRC VACCINATES BULACAN STATE UNIVERSITY WITH MODERNA
Philippine Red Cross (PRC) vaccinated 204 individuals at the Bulacan State University (BSU) last September 21, 2021. This event is under the directives of PRC Chairman and CEO Sen. Dick Gordon to vaccinate BSU employees with Moderna for free, in response to the request of the Bulacan Red Cross Youth advisers and BSU to conduct vaccination for its employees.
PRC Bulacan Chapter, under the leadership of Chapter Administrator Ricardo Villacorte also partners with the local government unit of Malolos local health unit to conduct a vaccination program every Thursday at the BSU Gymnasium.
“Mahalagang mabigyan agad ng agarang aksyon ang pagbabakuna sa ating mga guro para sila ay maging ligtas kontra COVID-19. Sa pamamagitan ng pagbabakuna at regular testing ay mapapabilis na natin ang pagbubukas ng mga eskwelahan at makakapasok na sa kani kanilang trabaho, at mas mabilis mabubuksan ang ating ekonomiya,” Sen. Dick Gordon said.
PRC Bulacan chapter also continues its saliva testing in its two locations at Robinsons Malolos and the chapter premises every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 AM – 2 PM. The chapter also records the highest production of saliva collection in the entire Region III, having tested 7,993 specimens since it started its Saliva RT-PCR testing last February 2021.
PRC Bulacan Chapter continues blood donation drive through a partnership with Jollibee despite the ongoing pandemic to provide safe and quality blood.
PRC Bulacan Chapter also conducts fund-generating activities to support its goal to establish a PRC Blood Center in San Jose del Monte to serve the entire Region III in need of blood.
