PRC AIDS CAGAYAN AFTER TROPICAL STORM MARING ONSLAUGHT
The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) provides assistance to the Cagayan province after being hit by severe tropical storm Maring (Kompasu) leaving PHP 46,000,000 in damages.
PRC Cagayan chapter will conduct psychological first aid to children and other nulnerable individuals in Brgy. Tabbac, Buguey, Cagayan. In addition, the chapter will also distribute ready-to-eat meals and face masks to 300 individuals.
“Tuloy-tuloy pa rin ang assistance ng Philippine Red Cross sa iba’t ibang sulok ng bansa na apektado ng TS Maring. We are always first, always ready, and always there where help is needed,” PRC Chairman and CEO Sen. Dick Gordon said.
Red continues its humanitarian interventions in the province through Bakuna Bus vaccination, Hot Meals distribution, and Isolation facility to serve asymptomatic patients to help stop the spread of the virus.
