The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) set up three first-aid stations and deployed 14 ambulances nationwide to provide medical assistance for people going to the cemetery in celebration of Undas 2021.

PRC through the directives of its Chairman and CEO sets up first aid station in Laguna, Alaminos, Pangasinan, and Albay. 14 ambulances were also deployed in Cebu, Laguna, Mindoro Oriental, Northern Samar, Bulacan, Valenzuela City, Negros Oriental, Agusan del Norte, Palawan, Albay, Northern Samar, La Union, Rizal-Makati, and Las Pinas, providing medical care to 621 individuals with 607 for blood pressure taking and 14 with wound, dizziness, fainting and laceration.

“Sa panahon ng pandemya, at mataas pa rin ang kaso, hindi natin ineencourage ang lahat na pumunta sa sementeryo at mag social gathering. Kaya ipinadala natin ang ating mga ambulansya at first aid station upang masiguradong ligtas pa rin ang mga pupunta sa sementeryo,” PRC Chairman and CEO Sen. Dick Gordon said.

PRC will continue to this Undas 2021 despite the closure of cemeteries to ensure the safety of the people who wish to pay tribute to the deceased.
