As one of the leading providers of first aid training in the world, the Philippine Red Cross’ Safety Services is tasked with a nationwide educational campaign to ensure the health and safety of the Filipino people. It also offers programs that are aligned with international standards.

Services and Trainings


AMBULANCE SERVICES
The Safety Services alleviates human suffering by making its fleet of ambulances accessible to the public, especially the most vulnerable. For a considerate rate, Safety Services offers transports for non-emergency cases from home to hospital, home to hospital, or hospital to hospital.
Standard First Aid and Basic Life Support - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation with Automated External Defibrillator
This comprehensive four-day course offers first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) with automated external defibrillator (AED). This training can be used for employment and day-to-day emergencies. Accepted in accordance to DOLE requirements Minimum number of hours: 32 hours
Occupational First Aid and Basic Life Support Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation with Automated External Defibrillator
This two-day course is recommended for workplace that offers first aid, CPR with AED and responds to occupational hazards. It complies to the requirements, which defines a ”certified first-aider” as any person trained and duly certified or qualified to administer first aid by the PRC.

Minimum number of hours: 16 hours
Emergency First Aid
This provides basic first aid knowledge to people 13 years old above for use of students, household workers and community workers. This program offers trainings that are fit for day-to-day emergencies that lay persons may encounter, as well as trainings for special cases such as Sports First Aid and Wilderness First Aid.

Minimum number of hours: 8 hours
Junior First Aid
This program intends to hone the capability of elementary students and out-of-school youth, aged 10-12 years old, to serve during emergencies.

Minimum number of hours: 6 hours
Basic Life Support Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Training
This program targets individuals 18 years old above people with a job-related duty to respond in emergency including nurses, law enforcers, emergency medical services personnel, fire fighters, emergency responders, lifeguards and others who shall take action in emergency situations. It provides an in-depth yet concise lecture on responding to cardiovascular emergencies and choking for adults, children, and babies depending on the level of CPR chosen.

Minimum number of hours: 8 hours
Basic Life Support - Adult Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Training for Lay Rescuers
This program aims to train lay citizens on life-saving intervention for adults. It involves needed information to discern when to employ resuscitative efforts in a various situations.

Minimum number of hours: 8 hours
Basic Life Support - Child and Infant Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Training
This program is fit for parents, teachers, babysitters and others who care for children. It discusses common emergencies experienced by children.

Minimum number of hours: 8 hours
WATER SAFETY PROGRAMS
The Water Safety Programs covers water-based life-saving trainings for individuals of all ages, as well for occupations and professions that deal with water safety. Water safety programs include Learn to Swim, Basic Water Safety and Rescue, Lifeguarding, and Swift Water Rescue.
