PRC CONDUCTS SERIES OF COMMUNITY FEEDING IN MALABON
The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) deploys its Hot Meals on Wheels to provide ready-to-eat hot meals to 1,000 COVID-19 affected residents in Malabon City. PRC Malabon chapter started to roll out its food truck and provides food to 200 individuals at Brgy. Concepcion, Malabon, last September 24, 2021.
PRC Malabon chapter will deploy its food truck and will serve chicken afritada and rice at Brgy. Catmon, targeting 300 beneficiaries belonging to the most vulnerable sector like senior citizens, a person with disabilities, and solo parents. The community feeding will continue in Brgy. Maysilo on September 28 and Brgy. Longos on September 30. PRC, through its volunteer chefs and cooks, will make sure that all food served is delicious, nutritious, and safe to eat.
“Hatid ng Red Cross ay mainit na pagkain para sa mga taong lubos na naapektuhan ng COVID-19 pandemic. Millions of Filipinos have lost their jobs, kaya naman patuloy ang pagbibigay natin ng pagkain through our Food trucks. Isang meal na bawas sa iisipin nila sa araw,” Sen. Dick Gordon said.
PRC will continue to deploy its food truck to different parts of the country and provide food to the most vulnerable.
“Our goal in the Red Cross is to alleviate human suffering and uplift the dignity of the people. Malaki ang kinakaharap ng ating bayan, but together we can win our war against COVID-19,” Sen. Dick Gordon added.
