GORDON: DO NOT BE COMPLACENT AND PRACTICE SAFETY PROTOCOLS

Philippine Red Cross (PRC) Chairman and CEO Sen. Dick Gordon restates the importance of practicing proper health protocols to prevent another surge in COVID-19 cases, after the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) has placed the National Capital Region and seven other provinces under less stringent Alert Level 2 beginning February 1.

According to Department of Health Secretary Fransisco Duque, the NCR has seen a decline in Covid-19 cases over the past few days, and vaccination coverage is high in the metropolis.

“Kahit na ibinaba ang alert level sa iba’t ibang lugar sa bansa, dapat ay patuloy pa rin tayo mag practice ng health protocols, magpatest, at magpabakuna upang maiwasan natin ang muling pagtaas ng COVID-19,”

The PRC Bakuna Buses and Bakuna Centers continue to vaccinate those individuals who have not yet had their vaccinations and also provide booster shots as additional protection to fully vaccinated individuals.

With over 963, 994 doses administered by the Red Cross, PRC Chairman Gordon encourages everyone to get vaccinated and get tested regularly against COVID-19 for immunity and protection against the highly transmissible virus and its variants.
