    Give Blood

The National Blood Services of the Philippine Red Cross delivers adequate, safe, and quality blood supply accessible at all times to the most vulnerable.

Through its 107 blood service facilities nationwide, the PRC has been one of the country's leading providers of blood and blood products. The PRC continually promotes blood donation to attain adequacy.

To meet the increasing demand for blood and augment the national blood requirement, the PRC conducts education, advocacy, and recruitment sessions to encourage regular blood donations from communities, workplaces, government/non-government agencies, civic organizations, churches, colleges, and universities nationwide.

    Paying it Forward

On World Blood Donor Day, June 14, watch the heartwarming story of one of the beneficiaries of the John Cedric Oranga Blood Samaritan Fund of the Philippine Red Cross in partnership with the Oranga family. John Cedric Oranga was a young photojournalist from Ateneo de Manila when he caught cancer. He battled the disease gallantly, with a blood supply from the Philippine Red Cross (PRC).

When John died in May 2023, his family donated cash to the PRC as an act of gratitude and to pay it forward to others who needed blood transfusions but could not cover the blood processing fee.

To support the PRC Blood Samaritan Program, call the PRC Blood Services at (02) 790-2300.
